Pelican Urgent Care was founded in 2000 by Dr. Kumar Amaraneni, an Emergency Medicine physician with over 25 years of experience in the Emergency Department at Slidell Memorial Hospital where he also served as Medical Director. Dr. Kumar has over 40 years experience in providing healthcare to the wonderful city of Slidell, LA and neighboring communities. Since inception, Pelican has proudly served the people of Southern Louisiana and Mississippi by providing timely, quality healthcare for individuals, families, schools and businesses throughout the region. Our number one priority has always been and will always be to provide superior care in a prompt manner.
